To create the plot which leads to the tragedy of Violets death, M.T. Anderson uses teenagers in a love story to emphasize the effect of digital representations in our society. To me the idea of turning it to a love story grabs the attention of many because we love to hear and read about them. It stresses the point clearly through the situation, how it's destroying us. The fact that he states the conflict with no solution leaves the reader thinking. It demonstrates reality, problems always erupting with no solution at the beginning. We become immune to the problem where there are no solutions to it. Him leaving us clueless causes us to think. He wants us to figure out the solution which is a very good technique to make the reader think.

I feel if the book was made into a movie it will not be most effective as it is through the text. Movies give us imagery causing our brains to be lazy. It shows us how it's suppose to be. For example when many read twilight, they had a movie set in their mind, very different from the movie, causing them to be disappointed. Leaving Feed as a non set imagination text cause many to be free and set their own movies. If it was made into a movie, i feel it will cause me to look at is as a animation and i won't really care. It will just be a thought i see and i would not think of anything major after it's over.

I would rather my art to be a mirror. When seeing a reflection you will always see something different. Therfore seeing something new all the time, a new idea or realizing something you haven't realized before so I want my art to be like a growing soul in a mirror. It being a hammer to shape the world is something i want too but once you shape it and it's done, there's nothing left. To some extend it is because there are times where it will never be shaped. For example Feed is not shaped because it gives no solution. There will be pieces missing that you need to solve. All the ideas are expressed to complete the shape. With a mirror, you will never see the same thing you say 2 days ago which is the same with feed. If you read through it through a "mirror's lens" you will continue to see new idea's. Now that i think of it Art can be both.
